Agaete is the last coffee-producing town in the Canary Islands. A tradition that began in 1788 with the arrival of this bean to Tenerife, along with other seeds and plants from other continents. Thus was born the La Orotava Acclimatization Garden. Here, the coffee tree found the perfect habitat to grow in the archipelago's subtropical climate, quickly becoming one of the favorite crops of the archipelago's farmers throughout the 19th century. However, between 1930 and 1940, the crops began to disappear. What were once hectares of fields were reduced to this small enclave located northeast of Gran Canaria. Here, coffee is lovingly cared for. The fruit grows freely, is harvested by hand, and its seeds are unwashed to preserve their full flavor. The result? A selection of extremely aromatic and complex coffees with a distinctive, mildly bitter aftertaste that has helped the area's economy flourish once again. This beautiful, high-quality painting is printed on 100% cotton canvas, giving the design an unparalleled texture.
